Property Care Around Lake Cowichan

Lake Cowichan

The town and surrounding lake properties see plenty of tree debris, shade and seasonal moisture.

Roofs and gutters can change quickly when they sit beneath heavy tree cover, while decks, siding and hard surfaces spend much of the year exposed to damp conditions.

Youbou

Stretching along the lake, Youbou becomes increasingly rural and wooded as you travel west.

For properties surrounded by forest, keeping organic buildup under control is part of ordinary home maintenance rather than a once-every-ten-years project.

Honeymoon Bay & Mesachie Lake

Honeymoon Bay and Mesachie Lake include a mix of permanent homes, cabins and seasonal properties.

Valley Wise already services customers around Honeymoon Bay, and we understand that some owners may spend only part of the year at their Cowichan property.

Your property still needs looking after when you’re not there.

For seasonal homes and cabins, preventative exterior care can help catch problems before the next trip out turns into a repair project. Photos, documented maintenance and regular exterior assessments can also make it easier to understand what is happening with the property when you are somewhere else.

Working Around the Lake

Lake properties deserve extra consideration around drainage, vegetation and water.

Valley Wise chooses methods according to the property and can use waterway-conscious approaches where runoff or proximity to the lake makes that important.
